Basketball Recap: North Idaho Christian Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Idaho Christian extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Chelsey Cate. The North Idaho Christian Royals took down Oaks Academy 55-41 on Tuesday thanks in part to Cate, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Idaho Christian's points.

Belle Jordan was another key player, putting up 19 points and five steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

North Idaho Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Idaho Christian will venture away from home to face off against Stillwater Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Idaho Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Stillwater Christian likes a good challenge. As for Oaks Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Idaho Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
