The Boonton Bombers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They had just enough and edged Newark Collegiate Academy out 29-26.
Boonton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Cabalar, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Sylas White, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Boonton's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Newark Collegiate Academy, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Boonton will take on Kittatinny Regional at 1:00 p.m. on November 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Kittatinny Regional is ranked 234th, while Boonton is ranked 217th). Newark Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
