There's no place like home for the Crystal City Javelinas, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Cotulla 62-31 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Crystal City has posted yet this season.
Crystal City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lyndsie Bosquez out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. Bosquez hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Bela Tapia, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Crystal City is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for Cotulla, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Crystal City will head out on the road to challenge Lytle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lytle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 219 points over their last three matchups. As for Cotulla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dilley at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Dilley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
