Chicago Sullivan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chicago Mathematics & Science apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
Chicago Mathematics & Science got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Hughes-Bey out in front who scored 23 points along with eight steals and seven blocks. The match was Hughes-Bey's third in a row with at least ten points. Joune Woods was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Chicago Sullivan bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Chicago Sullivan will head out on the road to face off against Little Village at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Village has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 231 points over their last three matchups. Chicago Mathematics & Science will be home for the holidays to greet Southland College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
