The Northeast Dubois Jeeps suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of Paoli. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Paoli is ranked 101st).
Several Jeeps players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddox Schnell, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Drew Schroering, who scored nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Northeast Dubois and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Paoli, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Northeast Dubois will be playing in front of their home fans against Springs Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Springs Valley is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Paoli won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th.
