Waynesfield-Goshen has won three straight games at home, while Ridgedale has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Tigers will host the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, Waynesfield-Goshen made easy work of Perry and carried off a 15-1 victory. The Tigers have beaten the Commodores the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Commodores has come to flipping the script.

Tarynn Vorhes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rayne Oakes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Shaw, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Waynesfield-Goshen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgedale). Everything went their way against Cory-Rawson on Monday as they made off with a 22-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rockets with their most commanding win of the season.
Kenzie Delaney made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Delaney was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
In other batting news, Ridgedale got a massive performance out of Alexis Burton, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brenda Scott, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI.
Ridgedale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Waynesfield-Goshen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ridgedale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Waynesfield-Goshen might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Ridgedale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
