The Amity Regional Spartans had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 46-41 W over Law. For Amity Regional, this counts as revenge for the 49-44 loss Law walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.
Tyler Wethington was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Miles Spodick, who scored eight points.
Amity Regional's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0. As for Law, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1.
Amity Regional will be home for the holidays to greet Lyman Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Law, they will head out on the road to face off against Pomperaug at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
