On Monday, the Lakeland Preparatory Lions were fully in charge, breezing past the Sheffield Knights 55-10. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Robinson, who posted three points and three steals.

Lakeland Preparatory is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.3 points per game. As for Sheffield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Lakeland Preparatory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-39 loss against Trezevant on the 21st. Sheffield has also already played their next game, a 42-7 defeat against Mitchell on the 21st.
