Hanford had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-53 win over the Monache Marauders. Given the Bullpups' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Marauders are ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Monache still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Carbajal, who went 12 for 18 on his way to 28 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. With that strong performance, Carbajal is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Hall, who posted 13 points.

Hanford's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Monache, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Hanford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-53 loss against North on the 26th. As for Monache, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-42 win against Pioneer Valley on the 26th.
