Philip Barbour has gone 9-1 against Elkins recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Colts will host the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Philip Barbour has seven straight victories, Elkins has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Philip Barbour is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: South Harrison, who was ranked 13th at the time (Philip Barbour was ranked fifth). The Colts sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Hawks on Wednesday. The three-run effort marked the Colts' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
