The Gem State Adventist Academy Jaguars lost against the Riverstone International Otters back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gem State Adventist Academy was outmatched by Riverstone International at home and fell 60-27. Gem State Adventist Academy has not had much luck with Riverstone International recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Jason Koval, who scored 27 points along with three steals for Riverstone International. That makes it six consecutive games in which Koval has scored at least 25% of Riverstone International's points. JB Brooks was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Gem State Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Riverstone International, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gem State Adventist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rimrock at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Riverstone International is on the road again on Friday and play against Lighthouse Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Lighthouse Christian is ranked 72nd, while Riverstone International is ranked 47th).
