Lynchburg-Clay has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the McClain Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lynchburg-Clay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lynchburg-Clay gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington 68-32 on the road. With Lynchburg-Clay ahead 34-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Jade Massey was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison West, who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, McClain ended up a good deal behind Minford on Saturday and lost 36-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McClain has scored all season.
Lynchburg-Clay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for McClain, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Lynchburg-Clay came out on top in a nail-biter against McClain in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 42-40. Does Lynchburg-Clay have another victory up their sleeve, or will McClain turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
