Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (Lind, Wash.) grabbed the lead when it ran for a touchdown with 2:00 to go in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Morton/White Pass (Randle, Wash.) 21-19 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured five lead swaps.
The Timberwolves pulled ahead on a touchdown run by
Zach Elswick, and subsequently went into halftime leading 12-7. The Broncos scored the winning points with a rushing touchdown that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring eight points in the third, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague still trailed by 4 points going into the fourth quarter. But six points in the fourth helped LRS pull out the victory.
Rylon Kolb made a difference for Morton/White Pass. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.
The loss comes after Morton/White Pass defeated LaConner 12-0 last week.
