The West Nassau Warriors lost against the Eagle's View Warriors back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. West Nassau took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eagle's View. While losing is never fun, West Nassau can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Eagle's View is ranked 221st).
West Nassau lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abagail Bailey, who scored 13 points. That was a full 40.6% of West Nassau's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tru Armstrong, who scored eight points.
Eagle's View found their leader in underclassman Jayda Parker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. Parker hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. Stephanie Cassels was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 20 rebounds and two steals.
West Nassau's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Eagle's View, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Nassau will take on Hilliard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eagle's View, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against First Coast Christian at 6:30 p.m.
