Basketball Recap: Chamblee Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tri-Cities

Chamblee scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 97-86 to the Tri-Cities Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Chamblee this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 88-66 last Friday.

Despite the loss, Chamblee still got an impressive performance from Ryan McCord, who went 9 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. That's the most points McCord has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kip Redo, who posted 11 points.

Tri-Cities was led to victory by Sean Vandorn and Jalan Wingfield. Vandorn dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds, while Wingfield dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 boards. Wingfield has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Keith, who went 7 of 16 en route to 23 points and eight boards.

Chamblee's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Tri-Cities, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Chamblee will face off against Shiloh at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamblee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season. Tri-Cities has already played their next contest, an 81-63 loss against Woodward Academy on the 3rd.
