The Warren Central Dragons will stay at home for another game and welcome the Adair County Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Warren Central beat Butler County 74-70.
Meanwhile, Adair County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down Barren County 61-47. Given Adair County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Barren County is ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Adair County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Connor Loy was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine assists.
Warren Central now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Adair County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Warren Central against Adair County in their previous matchup back in March of 2021 as the squad secured a 66-38 victory. Will Warren Central repeat their success, or does Adair County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
