Penn suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 67-39 loss at the hands of the South Bend Riley Wildcats. The Kingsmen's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Penn's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Miamba and Caleb Coolman. Miamba posted 14 points and seven boards, while Coolman scored 14 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Alexander Hawthorne, who put up five points.

Penn's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-8. As for South Bend Riley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Penn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-42 win against Mishawaka on the 25th. As for South Bend Riley, they will challenge Bowman Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Bend Riley is facing Bowman Academy at the right time seeing as Bowman Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
