The Carver Challengers put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Hubbard at home to the tune of 45-12. Carver has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carver to victory, but perhaps none more so than JaNiyah Statham, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Astarte Washington, who scored 13 points.
Carver's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Hubbard, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver will take on Longwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Longwood: 20.4, Carver: 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Hubbard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Little Village at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Little Village: 21.3, Hubbard: 29.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
