The South Bend Clay Colonials scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 63-18 win over South Bend Career Academy. That 45 points margin sets a new team best for South Bend Clay this season.
Delilah Castaneda had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliya Freeman, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
South Bend Clay's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-17. As for South Bend Career Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
South Bend Clay will take on Mishawaka Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Bend Career Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
