Tecumseh is 6-1 against the Hillclimbers since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Tecumseh Arrows will head out on the road to take on the Urbana Hillclimbers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Tecumseh was able to grind out a solid win over the Lumberjacks, taking the game 47-39. The victory was just what Tecumseh needed coming off of a 48-20 loss in their prior game.
Even though Urbana has not done well against the Red Raiders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Urbana enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over the Red Raiders. 53 seems to be a good number for Urbana as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Peyton Mounce was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 19 times she's played. Alisabeth Upchurch was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The win got Tecumseh back to even at 10-10. As for Urbana, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.
Tecumseh was dealt a bruising 66-38 defeat at the hands of the Hillclimbers when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mounce, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 17 rebounds. Now that Tecumseh knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
