After flying high against the Grace Christian Academy Lions last Wednesday, the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats came back down to earth. Battle Ground Academy fell just short of Columbia Academy by a score of 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Columbia Academy's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Griffin Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Jackson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Battle Ground Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 23-5 record this season. As for Columbia Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.
Battle Ground Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Columbia Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
