The Castro Valley Trojans will face off against the Piedmont Highlanders at 5:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
 Castro Valley is headed into Tuesday's   contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight  defeats. They took  a  36-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Encinal on Thursday.
 Despite the  loss, Castro Valley had strong showings from  Mya Williams, who threw for 162 yards and four touchdowns, and  Kiana Ayllon, who picked up 45 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Ayllon torched the secondary when she pulled down a catch that went for 90 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (83 yards to be exact) also went to  Naomi Chew.
 Castro Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Ava Kim,  Ayllon,  Gabrielle Rogge,  and  Marley Sepulveda picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile,  in a tight  matchup that could have gone either way, Piedmont made off with  a  7-6 victory over Tennyson. That's two games straight that the Highlanders have won by  just one  point.
 Castro Valley's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-2. As for Piedmont, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record  this season.
