PLANO, Texas -
Allen (Texas) beat Plano West (Plano, Texas) 77-37 while riding the arm of
Kyler Murray, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Murray to
Cole Carter in the first quarter, the Eagles were up 49-7 at the half.
Allen expanded its lead to 55 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on a
Jaelen Barlow touchdown run.
Murray dashed for three rushing touchdowns during Allen's triumph.
Murray was the top performer for the Eagles. The junior quarterback threw four touchdowns and ran for three touchdowns.
A 47-25 Allen victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
In a 5A Region II District 10 game next week Plano West (4-3) takes on McKinney, and Allen (7-0) will go up against Boyd also in a 5A Region II District 10 game.
