6A Conference 7 recap October 22, 2013
Lake Braddock added to the longest winning streak in 6A Conference 7 this week by beating West Springfield, 51-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Woodson moved up to 165 from 191 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cavaliers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Annandale 33-0.
T.C. Williams's dynamic duo of Sam Deen and Philip Tyler proved to be unstoppable against Lee, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Deen threw for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns and Tyler had 85 yards receiving. Timmy Rattanaphone helped T.C. Williams' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 47 yards.
He went 12-19 with 0 interceptions.
LeVaughn Davis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South County bested West Potomac.
South County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Stallions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. David Symmes has thrown for 624 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Kevin Quigley has 13 catches for 323 yards.
At the moment, the Titans are in third, while Lake Braddock is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when T.C. Williams takes on James Poytheris' team. Dennis Randolph's team has allowed 118 points this season, while the Bruins have given up 72. The Titans allowed 0 points last week as they topped the Lancers.
