The Lincoln Prep Lightning can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They blew past Cicero Prep Academy, posting a 47-10 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Lincoln Prep who now have seven in a row.
It was another big night for Eva Rodriguez, who scored 12 points along with six steals. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Danna Cubero, who scored eight points along with six steals and five assists.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cicero Prep Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lincoln Prep is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Cicero Prep Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Lincoln Prep will head out on the road to face off against Valley Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Prep is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Valley Lutheran is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Cicero Prep Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Phoenix Day School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Cicero Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
