AAAAA Region 7A recap Oct. 30, 2012
Creekview extended the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 7A this week by beating Forsyth Central, 47-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Sequoyah led the league in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Northview.
Creekview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hayden Hall threw for 234 and two touchdowns and Hunter Udall had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Chandler Wold chipped in 85 yards. Joey Noll helped Creekview's passing attack out by catching two balls for 55 yards.
The Grizzlies' Hall and Udall have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hall has thrown for 1121 yards this season, while Udall has 16 catches for 637 yards. Blake Ingleton from the Chiefs leads the league in rushing with 888 yards.
A big matchup in AAAAA Region 7A this week will be when Sequoyah takes on Cambridge. The Chiefs are currently in second, while the Bears are in fifth.
Cambridge made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,896 from 13,547. The improvement was the result of 45-13 victory over North Springs last week.
