It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen can now relate to. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Delbarton. Don Bosco Prep gained 74 more yards on the day, but it was Delbarton that made the best of use of them.
Deven Sisler threw for 137 yards on 19 of 30 attempts. Bob Mays was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Colin Brennan rushed for 28 yards.
Delbarton can attribute much of their success to Phillip Folmar, who rushed for 104 yards on only eight carries. Folmar was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Don Bosco Prep now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Delbarton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Don Bosco Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Delbarton will look to defend their home field on November 18th against Seton Hall Prep at 1:00 p.m. Seton Hall Prep will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
