The Elkhorn South Storm posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Bryan at home to the tune of 57-3. With Elkhorn South ahead 29-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Elkhorn South's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reegan Marasco, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Marasco pulled down eight or more rebounds. Alaina Brown was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals.
The victory got Elkhorn South back to even at 7-7. As for Bryan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhorn South will play host again and welcome Lincoln North Star, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Island at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Island is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
