Basketball Recap: Putnam Science Academy Takes Down Ranked Moses Brown

Putnam Science Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Moses Brown. Putnam Science Academy took down the Moses Brown Quakers 87-68. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Putnam Science Academy.

Moses Brown's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donovan Clement, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Clement's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Otis Crosby, who posted 21 points and six boards.

Putnam Science Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 94.7 points per game. As for Moses Brown, they moved to 15-2 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam Science Academy will host Broome Street Academy at 4:00 a.m. on February 12th. As for Moses Brown, they will welcome Woonsocket at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moses Brown is facing Woonsocket at the right time seeing as Woonsocket is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
