Basketball Recap: Hampton Christian Academy Skates Past Summit Christian Academy with Ease

There's no place like home for Hampton Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 64-24 victory over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-8.

Leading Hampton Christian Academy to victory were Bryce Harris and Joel Fullwood. Harris posted 20 points, while Fullwood scored 14 points. Harris is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. Marcus Ruff was another key player, putting up eight points.

Courtland Reiter and Asher Crowder certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Reiter had seven points and three blocks, while Crowder put up four points.

Hampton Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Hampton Christian Academy will be playing at home against Portsmouth Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-33 defeat against Hampton Roads Academy on the 10th.
