The Moore Haven Terriers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 47-39 victory over Glades Central. This was payback for Moore Haven, who suffered a 46-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Preslynn Baker, who scored 21 points. Akeelah Ling was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Moore Haven's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Glades Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Moore Haven will be playing in front of their home fans against Marco Island Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Marco Island Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Glades Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
