The Corinth Holders Pirates can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garner 57-18 at home. With Corinth Holders ahead 29-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Corinth Holders got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darla Lee out in front who scored 18 points along with two steals. Lee hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Bella Stromberg was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Garner still got an impressive performance from Olivia Jacobs, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 88.9% of Garner's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Garner struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Corinth Holders pushed their record up to 10-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Garner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Coincidentally, Corinth Holders and Garner will both be playing South Garner the next time they take the court. Corinth Holders will host South Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Garner will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
