Football Recap: Fremont Piles Up the Points Against West Field

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fremont). They claimed a resounding 65-3 victory over the West Field Longhorns. With the Silverwolves ahead 37-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Taylor Graham was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 145 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another player making a difference was Manase Tuatagaloa, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fremont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 357 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Fremont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brendan Glover, Slade Parker, and Landon Palmer picked up one apiece.

Fremont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.2 points over those games. As for West Field, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fremont will square off against rival Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Field is set to take on their familiar foe Box Elder at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
