Softball Recap: Kenwood Comes Up Short

Kenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kelly Trojans. On the bright side, the 15- run performance marked the Broncos' highest-scoring match to date.

Kenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kelly, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

While Kenwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
