Bolles is 1-9 against Bishop Kenny since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bolles Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bolles had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-33 victory over the Golden Eagles. The win was nothing new for Bolles as they're now sitting on four straight.
Meanwhile, Bishop Kenny scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Wolfson 83-4 at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Bishop Kenny's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Clare Coyle, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, and Riley Talbert, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Coyle has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last three times she's played. Lena Granuzzo was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Bolles has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Bishop Kenny, their victory was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-4.
Bolles came up short against Bishop Kenny in their previous matchup back in January, falling 46-42. Can Bolles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
