Regent Prep will square off against the Oklahoma Bible Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Regent Prep sitting on six straight victories and Oklahoma Bible on eight.
Regent Prep extended their postseason success on Friday against Dewar. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Dragons. Regent Prep's victory was all the more impressive since Dewar was averaging only 11.42 points allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma Bible put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Southwest Covenant 60-34. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Jud Cheatham, who rushed for 327 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Cheatham was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Ian Eastin was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Regent Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Oklahoma Bible, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Regent Prep against Oklahoma Bible in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 as the squad secured a 67-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Regent Prep since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
