It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Bay City Blackcats can now relate to. They fell 37-28 to the Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, Bay City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Kilgore is ranked 36th).
Alex Estrada threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Keaton Nunez was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards.
Bay City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Kilgore, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Bay City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kilgore will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Needville at 2:30 p.m. on November 24th. One thing working in Needville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
