The Discovery Titans entered their tilt with the Apalachee Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Discovery walked away with a 43-36 win over Apalachee on Saturday. That's two games straight that Discovery has won by exactly seven points.
Kaylon Jackson was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Jones, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Discovery pushed their record up to 3-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Apalachee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Discovery will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View and Discovery are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Apalachee will be home for the holidays to greet M.L. King at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
