It was a good run, but the Frankton Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 62-40 loss at the hands of Hamilton Heights. Frankton has not had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Frankton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joey Wright. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Nunley, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Frankton's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Hamilton Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10.
Frankton will head out on the road to challenge the Apaches at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Wabash is ranked 143rd, while the Eagles are ranked 158th). As for Hamilton Heights, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Golden Falcons at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Winchester Community knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully the Huskies like a good challenge.
