The Crowley Gent's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Elton on the road and fell 55-17. Crowley lost against Elton in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-16 score last time.
Crowley's loss came despite strong showings from Alaysia Arvie and Tamyriah Scott. Arvie scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Scott scored no points. Arvie set a new season high mark in blocks with two.
Crowley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Elton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crowley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Port Barre at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Elton, they will head out on the road to face off against David Thibodaux at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. David Thibodaux is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
