If Faith Baptist were feeling good off their 58-24 takedown of the Juniata Christian Eagles on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Faith Baptist took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethany Christian on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Faith Baptist has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Faith Baptist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Silas Mosey. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Zech Gartrelle, who scored 15 points.
Faith Baptist has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Bethany Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Rochester Hills Christian the next time they take the court. Bethany Christian will host Rochester Hills Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Faith Baptist will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
