Scottsdale Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Northwest Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will take on the Crusaders at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Scottsdale Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Madison Highland Prep on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Heat. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four contests in a row.
Madeleine (Maddie) Ketchum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ketchum was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Caitlyn Troxell was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Campbell Reader, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The team relied heavily on Kinsey Unger, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Angus, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. However, it's not like Northwest Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
