Neosho's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Collier Hendricks, who scored 22 points, and Tyrone Harris who scored ten points along with six assists and five rebounds. The game was Hendricks' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Colton Southern, who scored five points.
Neosho struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Neosho and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Neosho will head out on the road to face off against Poplar Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Poplar Bluff's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Neosho has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Benton will take on St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Pius X has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 196 points over their last three games.
