After a string of three wins, Wheaton North's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Tigers are ranked 112th).

Wheaton North's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Wheaton North and Metamora will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers challenge the Oswego Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
