The Crestview Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 68-57 victory over Milton. The victory was all the more spectacular given Crestview's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Milton is ranked 77th).
Makhi Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Adell Johnson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
The victory got Crestview back to even at 7-7. As for Milton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-2.
Crestview will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Pace at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Milton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Foley at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Foley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday.
