Rocky Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Boise recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will host the Brave at 6:30 p.m. Rocky Mountain's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Boise's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Rocky Mountain got the win against Timberline by a conclusive 10-3. Considering the Grizzlies have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln Mathis made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Javin Ellett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Jeff Thompson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Boise ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Ridgevue 8-7. The victory was some much needed relief for the Brave as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Aidric Bird tossed a big game, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Boise let Brody Newbery and Alixon Rodriguez -Aponte run wild. Newbery went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Rodriguez -Aponte got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Newbery has become a key player for Boise: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Schaaf, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Boise's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Rocky Mountain took their victory against Boise when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-4 score. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
