Plainfield was sadly handed a defeat on Wednesday, but Luke Warriner did his best to prevent it. Warriner wasn't messing around, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Warriner and Plainfield will face off against Cascade at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
