Jonathan Newton Dazzles in the Covenant Victory
Jonathan Newton's big game helped extend The Covenant's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Newton as he rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 46 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Rappahannock County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Newton. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Newton saw the ), he rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries.
