Sam Shaughessy Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Thursday, Blaine got the W thanks in part to Sam Shaughessy playing the best football he has all season. Shaughessy rushed for 212 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Blaine's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Shaughessy and Blaine will square off against Shakopee at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Effort from Peyton Podany Leads Anoka over Osseo
Anoka was led to victory by Peyton Podany, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Podany threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt.
The win was the third in a row for Anoka, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Podany and Anoka will welcome Wayzata at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Anoka Gets a Boost from Welch in 55-19 Win
Another Anoka player making an appearance on this list is Zach Welch. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Welch has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 27.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

Charlie Hendrickson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Anoka to the win on Thursday. Hendrickson picked up 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 72 yards.
On the year, Hendrickson has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 33.4 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.2 receiving yards per game.
