We get the season started by looking at high school football's elite.

Factoring in results and schedule strength, MaxPreps partner Ned Freeman at CalPreps.com has produced dynasty ratings for the top high school football programs in all 50 states.

Freeman's rating takes into account games going back to 2003, giving fans and readers and unmatched look at the high school football landscape over the past 15 years.

Today we journey to Alaska, where the top dog West has won 9 state championships over the past 15 seasons.
